The Chilliwack Chiefs finished second in the Coastal Division and will play the Langley Rivermen in the first round of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) playoffs.

The full schedule for the first round has also been released. With Chilliwack earning the second seed and Langley being the seventh seed the Chiefs will have home ice advantage in the series. In a best-of-seven series, the Chiefs will have game one, two, five and seven (if necessary) at the Chilliwack Coliseum.

In the second intermission 17-year-old figure skater Ava will perform.

Game three at George Preston Arena will be on April 8 at 7:15 p.m with game four the following night on April 9 at 7:15 p.m. Game six would be on April 13 at 7:15 p.m.

The Chiefs are offering fans a bus service to travel to game four in Langley. Bus service to and from George Preston Arena as well as the game ticket will be covered in the $35 price.

The Chiefs are going into the playoffs on a bit of a heater, winning three in a row to close out the regular season. Every win counted as the Chiefs only narrowly beat the Alberni Valley Bulldogs by two points.

Chilliwack spent the last four games of the regular season on the road. The Chiefs beat the Cowichan Valley Capitals 4-2 on March 29. Goals from four different players, including three in the third period, led Chilliwack to the win.

The final regular season night on March 30 against the Nanaimo Clippers came down to the wire. Matt Argentina was the hero, netting a short-handed goal in the third period to break the tie. The Chiefs would hold on to win 3-2.
