April 5, 1932 - February 23, 2024

Born to William John Hammond and Winnifred Lang in Plumas, Manitoba and wed in 1953 to her love, Howard Sandberg.

Leeona was a loving wife, mother, grand-mother and great-grand-mother. She had 5 children; Gregory, Linda, Sheila, Barbara, and Gary and was blessed to be the "fun" grandmother to 7 grandchildren; Jennifer, Gregory, Dawson, Carter, Douglas, Colton and Levi.

She also leaves behind 7 great-grandchildren; Scarlett, Ellia, Daphnie, Aria, Charlotte, Hadley, and Arthur.

Lee was a person who loved to have fun and didn't let the bumps in the road get her down. She was gregarious and outgoing and the party always started once she walked into the room. Lee looked to the future and was known to leave the past in the past, referring to it as "yesterday's news".

As a family we were all blessed to learn from Lee to enjoy the present moment.

Lee was so many things: a caring wife and mother, an entrepreneur and a dedicated employee, as well as a beloved grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. At each and every stage of life, she gave all of herself to the people around her and to her various pursuits and interests.

Lee was an active and participating member of the Eastern Star. She loved the pageantry and fellowship this organization is noted for.

There is never enough time to spend with your loved ones and never an end to the remembrances. We will always hold you in our hearts as one of the very best.

Goodbye, Mom. Soar with the Angels.
